New Year...New Format!
First, let me say how thankful I am that so many people take the time to read and comment on my comic strips. Two years ago I decided to post some of my old strips on a special facebook page for my friends to check out and now almost 560 people (as of 1-2-2012) have “liked” my page! That’s pretty cool considering only 190 of the 560 are FB friends of mine. Thanks to facebook I have made a lot of new friends, got to hang out with some pretty cool people, appear at a few comic conventions and had some pretty cool opportunities come my way. Of course all of this means I’ve gotten A LOT busier with drawing. Which brings me to the purpose of this “blog”. Beginning this year (2012) I will no longer be drawing the comic strip “Severe Head Trauma”. This was planned for a long time and that’s why this blog is named “Severe Head Trauma”, I just love that name so much. The fact of the matter is “Severe Head Trauma” and “In Your Face!” are basically the same strip with different formats. So even though Trauma is going away, “In Your Face!” will continue with Trauma’s classic comic strip size format. This doesn’t mean I will be producing less comics, it just means I don’t have to force myself to come up with a single panel or multi panel comic on certain Sundays... I can just do whatever comes to mind. Of course “Me & the Kid”, “Hitched!” and “Digger Davis the Gopher” will continue just as they are. My goal is to make the best possible comics that I can and I think that this decision will help me do that. I do the comic strips to entertain people and every time I receive feedback from you guys it makes all the hard work worth it. I hope you will continue to join me on this journey and, fingers crossed, enjoy the new comic strips ahead. I promise there are even greater things coming this year, Gopher-it is only going to get BIGGER and BETTER! Stay tuned and Thank You for your support!
Have Fun!
